Difference between UAV power lithium battery and ordinary lithium battery
Battery is the power source of UAV, and there are many kinds of batteries, including lead-acid battery, Ni MH battery, Ni Cr battery, lithium battery, hydrogen battery, etc. at present, the mainstream UAV battery is lithium battery, which has more excellent performance than other varieties. Lithium battery is divided into power battery and ordinary battery. Although it is the same as lithium battery, there are still many differences.
Different properties: power battery refers to the battery that provides power for UAV, generally relative to the small battery that provides energy for portable electronic devices; while ordinary battery is a kind of battery that uses lithium metal anode material and non-aqueous electrolyte solution, and lithium-ion battery is different from lithium-ion polymer battery.
The energy density of the battery is different: in the case of new battery, the capacity of power battery and ordinary battery is tested by discharge instrument, and the capacity of ordinary battery is about 1000-1500mah, while the capacity of ordinary battery is more than 2000mAh, and some can reach 3400mah.
Different discharge power: a 4200mah power battery can discharge the electricity in just a few minutes, but ordinary battery can't, so the discharge capacity of ordinary battery can't be compared with that of power battery. The biggest difference between power battery and ordinary battery lies in its high discharge power and specific energy. Because the power battery is mainly used for UAV energy supply, it has higher discharge power than ordinary battery.
Different application scenarios: batteries that provide driving power for UAVs are called power batteries, including traditional lead-acid batteries, Ni MH batteries and lithium-ion power batteries, which are divided into power type power batteries and energy type power batteries; lithium batteries used in consumer electronic products are generally referred to as lithium batteries to distinguish them from power batteries used in UAVs.
